SUMMARY:Hyde Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Hyde Quartet formed in 2020 and is made up of Royal College of Music students and alumni. Since their debut the quartet has gained recognition as winners of the prestigious Tunnell Trust Award the RCM Ensemble Competition and the Boconnoc Award as well as finalists in the Royal Overseas League competition.\nThe Tunnell Trust support emerging chamber music groups in the UK by providing performance opportunities and financial support for concerts. DESCRIPTION:Edinburgh-born soprano Catriona is a winner of the Kathleen Ferrier Loveday Song prize and a Scottish Opera Emerging artists and named as one of Opera Now’s Hot List Young Artists in 2022.\nJavier combines work as a accompanist and répétiteur with his work as vocal coach at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was the Scottish Opera Emerging Artist pianist for seasons 23-25. \nIt is a varied and beautiful programme – including Liddell’s arrangement from The Kindling Fire by Robert Burns\, Strauss’s ‘Mädchenblumen’\, Britten’s Folksong selection including “The Salley Gardens”\, The Bonny Earl o’ Moray and Schumann ‘Frauenliebe und Leben’ Op. 42.\nTickets £16 on the door and free to Members and under 25s and carers.
