New Festival Wool, Woven & Wild to Celebrate Wool, Textiles and Landscape in Langholm
Creation Mill Textile Centre, DG13 0ES, Langholm, Dumfries & Galloway, 27-28th February 2026
Langholm is set to welcome a brand-new festival, Wool, Woven & Wild, celebrating the region’s rich wool heritage, vibrant textile creativity and remarkable natural landscape. Taking place at the end of February, the festival will bring together makers, farmers, artists, and the local community for a weekend of learning, sharing and celebration.
The festival programme will feature a curated selection of stalls focusing on local wool, textiles and nature-inspired goods, alongside talks exploring all things sheep – from farming traditions to contemporary practices. Visitors can also look forward to community workshops led by inspiring textile practitioners, as well as guided tours of local farms and businesses, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the people and processes shaping the area.
Wool, Woven & Wild aims to spotlight Langholm and the surrounding region as a place where craft, agriculture and landscape are deeply connected, fostering conversations around sustainability, heritage and creative practice.
Tickets can be booked now at www.creationmill.org/wwwfestival
Wool, Woven & Wild is proudly funded by Dumfries & Galloway Council’s Regional Cultural Fund, supporting cultural activity that strengthens communities and celebrates local identity.
