u3a Dumfries – Talk by renowned illustrator, Clare Melinsky

At our April meeting, we will be joined by renowned local artist and illustrator Clare Melinsky, who works primarily in lino cut prints.
As a professional illustrator, Clare’s work has featured on everything from book covers (Harry Potter, anyone?) to Royal Mail Christmas stamps. She has also been commissioned over the years to make portraits of local houses, from cottages to castles, both private and public.
Her illustrated talk will not be technical or historical, just colourful pictures and a few personal anecdotes.
