The Swallow Theatre – The First 30 Years
Sat 20 June @ 2:30 pm

This summer The Swallow Theatre celebrates 30 years since the first public performance at the venue. Join us for a nostalgic look back at the first years of this unique and intimate venue.
In the first half of the show, co-founder David Sumner will be in conversation with actor/director Dominic Goodwin (Christmas by the Fireside, Twice Nightly), explaining how he established the theatre with his late wife Jill back in the early 1990s, and discussing the early years of the venue.
After an interval, enjoy some short extracts from shows over the years and readings from works celebrating theatre, read script-in-hand by local professional and amateur performers. There will also be video contributions from some of the actors and musicians who consider The Swallow Theatre to be a special stop on their tours.
Duration: approximately 105-120 minutes including an interval
