The 30th Anniversary Garden Gathering
Sun 21 June @ 2:00 pm

This summer The Swallow Theatre celebrates 30 years since the first public performance at the venue.
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the theatre garden and marquees, meet with friends or make new ones, and reminisce or learn about the history of Scotland’s smallest theatre, much loved by locals, visitors and performers.
The afternoon will include readings of poems and sketches specially written over the years for or about The Swallow Theatre, as well as music from local choir Lowland Lassies, and there will be an exhibition showing the theatre’s history.
Our normal range of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks and ice creams will be on sale throughout the afternoon along with a selection of individually packaged cakes (not home-baking, we know our limits).
The event is ticketed with a nominal charge of £3 to help us anticipate numbers.
The start times of 2pm and 4pm are flexible arrival times. The afternoon’s entertainment will start at around 2.30pm and be repeated at around 4.30pm. The exhibition will be available throughout the afternoon.
You are welcome to arrive at any point onwards from the time stated on your ticket*, and stay as long as you wish until we close at around 6pm.
* actually you will not be issued with a ticket, but you will receive an automated receipt for your payment.
Tickets : £3.00
We are very grateful to all the performers at our celebration weekend for generously donating their time.
Any funds raised over the weekend, after expenses, will be put towards buying additional benches for the theatre garden.
