Plant and Bake (and Floral Art) Sales Day

At All Saints’ Episcopal Church Challoch (DG8 6RB), situated on the A714, Girvan Road, near Newton Stewart

Come and join us for a great day out for gardeners, foodies, and lovers of floral art! Plants and seedlings – both garden and vegetable – will be on sale, with green-fingered congregation experts Jackie Shuttleworth and Rosemary Green on hand to give advice. What’s more, visitors will be able to buy and sample home-made produce – ranging from cakes to quiches – prepared by the ‘cream’ of All Saint’s congregation’s bakers. Soup and cups of ground coffee and tea also will be available throughout the day.

Artist Guest for the event: highly regarded Dumfries and Galloway floral artist Mary-Clare Cornwallis, who will be painting on site throughout the day. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch her work in real time and ask questions about her techniques and artistic process. She will also be exhibiting a selection of her paintings, which will be available for purchase. Mary-Clare has exhibited in London, Australia, and the United States of America.
