Piece of Mind Film Screening

Set in the fictional Scottish village of Kilbron, ‘Piece of Mind’ is a short film that revolves around different perspectives on modernity and tradition. 250 years ago a tragedy befell the town and as a way of coping with the grief, the residents take part in an annual Day of Silence. As time has moved on people have begun to question the relevance of the tradition and we follow two protagonists with very different perspectives on the festivals’ place in the future. Created by the filmmaking organisation Next Take, the film was crafted by young people of various backgrounds and was shot in Wigtown due to its breath-taking scenery.
