Moffat Movies presents The Choral
Sat 18 April @ 7:30 pm

THE CHORAL is set in a fictional mill town in Yorkshire in 1916. The young men of the town are signing up and going off to war. The local choral society is desperate to recruit male voices, as well as a new choirmaster. Dr Henry Guthrie is a controversial choice. Not only has he worked in Germany but he has a love for German culture and is rumoured to be an atheist.
THE CHORAL explores the idea that music is not a luxury. In times of trouble it can empower and uplift us, give us spiritual sustenance and foster our sense of community.
THE CHORAL is written by Alan Bennett and directed by Nicholas Hytner.
Doors open at 7 pm for a 7.30 start. Bar available
