More Info & Booking

Creative Neighbourhoods: A Blueprint for Local Placemaking, the second LABS event in the What We Do Now programme.

Taking place in Stranraer on 23 and 24 April 2026, this two day gathering will focus on Creative Placemaking at neighbourhood scale. The level where culture is lived, relationships are built and change becomes real. This event asks a timely question – what does it really take for a neighbourhood to shape its own future?

Across Scotland, there is growing momentum around local decision making, fairness and wellbeing. Yet much of that conversation happens at town or regional level. LABS 2026 brings it closer to home, exploring what support, resources and structures need to be in place so communities can genuinely lead creative development in their own neighbourhoods.
