Edible Spring Workshop

Sat 4 April @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

More Info & Booking

Join us for a hands-on Edible Spring Foraging & Cooking Workshop where we’ll learn how to confidently identify and harvest seasonal treasures like stinging nettles, wild garlic, dandelions and other abundant spring greens. You’ll gain practical knowledge about safe foraging, sustainable harvesting, plant identification tips and the nutritional uses of these remarkable plants.

After gathering our ingredients in Glasserton just outside Whithorn, we’ll head to the Community Centre kitchen to transform our finds into a delicious, shared meal. Come curious, leave inspired — and discover just how much goodness is growing at your feet.

This workshop is part of the SMCC Nourish Project and is funded by the Third Sector Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund. Places are FREE to attend with a £10 booking fee to secure your place. The booking fee will be fully refunded upon attendance of the workshop. No refunds will be given for places cancelled and non-attendance.

Transport: We would urge you to car share when possible. The SMCC mini bus is available on the day for a £2 minimum donation per person, leaving the SMCC to Glasserton Church and return. Please contact us to arrange your place on the bus.
